Bellarmine Goes Gonzo!

I’m beyond thrilled to announce that my essay “Daydreaming Dystopia” was awarded the prize for second place in the 2023 Bellarmine Goes Gonzo Writing Contest. The event was hosted last week by the Bellarmine University Office of Military & Veteran Services in Louisville, Kentucky. Huge thank you to Lindsay Gargotto, Ron Whitehead, and everyone involved with the festivities. The contest was held in honor of Hunter S. Thompson who has been one of the most influential writers in my life, so this one felt especially cool.

Of Swarms and Plagues

Thank you to Angie Tibbs for including my poem “Administrative Leeches” on a recent Sunday Poetry Page here at Dissident Voice…

Angie was the first editor to ever publish one of my poems back in June of 2014. Since that moment, I’ve not missed a single week as a regular contributor at the site. It’s getting awfully close to the nine-year anniversary! What a ride it’s been so far.

2023 Dublin Poetry Walk

I’m thrilled to share that my poem “Transcending Definitions” was one of 25 poems selected from across the USA to be included in the 2023 Dublin Poetry Walk during April to celebrate National Poetry Month. Poems are displayed in local businesses across Dublin, California and can be viewed during a guided tour. More information about this cool project being produced by James Morehead and Viewless Wings can be found here…
